We are at a point in history when spirituality has become mainstream. As a culture, we are talking more and more about awareness, energy and interconnection. Not only are we discussing what these concepts are, but how they relate to our lives in very specific, tangible ways.
The conversation of who we are and how we work is expanding. More people are ‘waking up’ or opening up to the inner knowing that there is more to our individual and collective stories. With this opening comes the desire to seek, and learn about the nature of our existence and connect with self, others and source in a meaningful way.
This longing for knowledge and expansion is commonly referred to as a Spiritual Awakening.
A Spiritual Awakening is the desire to understand and connect deeply, more intentionally, with yourself and the world around you. This pull, or awakening, can be like a slow burn with the yearning for deeper understanding and connection building over time, or it can be spurred quickly by a traumatic life event that you didn’t see coming (a job loss, divorce, or medical diagnosis), something that shakes you to the core and forces a change in perspective, understanding and many times way of living.
The manner in which your awareness came be expanded is not particularly relevant. There is not a better or worse way to enter into this space. A spiritual awakening is an invitation to understand and experience life in a different way. In a way that feels more aligned for you.
A Spiritual Awakening is an invitation to reconnect with yourself, others, and Source. To hit the reset button and remember who you are, who you truly are, a spiritual being having a human experience.
