I actually had something else to share this week, but I have heard so many crazy stories that my family, friends, and clients have had to “kickoff” 2023 that it feels necessary to address this elephant in the room.
These first few weeks have been a little batty, am I right?! Here are a few things I’ve heard:
- Unexplained illnesses
- Homes flooding
- Health problems
- Unexpected job changes
- Lost pets
- Major flight delays
- Technology glitches
- Falls
- Car vs animal events
Some of these have been minor, some not so minor. If you resonate, let me say, you are not alone.
Let’s just take a collective pause. Regroup, and let go of any superstitions about what this year is going to be like based on these last few weeks.
Feeling like you need to press the reset button on this year?
Many of us feel the same way. Who knows why we had the opportunity to experience so many wacky things at the beginning of the year, but it’s important to process your experience to the best of your ability and more forward with the energy of hope and optimism.
And while it might take a minute to get there, and there may be some cleaning up to do (physical, mental, financial, emotional or spiritual), you can get through it. Take your time.
And if you need a specific “restart” date, here are two to pick from.
January 18th- Mercury goes direct. While I am not an astrologer, I do follow a few. I have heard several say that since we had been in Mercury retrograde since December 29th, this is the “real” start to 2023. Astrologically speaking.
January 22nd- If that doesn’t feel right, perhaps you can start your year according to the Chinese Lunar New Year which begins this weekend. Welcome the water rabbit with open arms.
Moving forward
If you need support processing what you experienced the last few weeks, take the action. Talk to someone, get a massage, a Reiki or coaching session, some alone time, whatever you need. Personally, I had a Reiki session today and it was just what I needed to help move the energy from what I experienced through my body.
If you need support or a referral for someone that may be able to support you, reach out. I would be happy to offer whatever I can.
P.s. 5 steps to Setting Realistic Goals by Putting Yourself First (aka spiritual goal setting) will be released as a self-paced course in the next few days. Rather than an in person class on Sunday.
