Monday Metaphysics: Claircognizance

This week I’m continuing my series on the Clairs. In the last Monday Metaphysics post, I discussed clairvoyance and how engineers, artists and others use this intuitive tool in everyday work life. Additionally, we have all experienced clairvoyance as daydreaming, visual premonitions, and descriptive storytelling. If you missed that post, you can find it here: http://www.revelationu.com/revelations/

Today we will move on to claircognizance or clear knowing. Again, this is just another way we all engage with energy. It is something we all do. It’s just another way of connecting with Source and the world around us. Energetic engagement helps us in our work, keeps us safe, and it helps us make good decisions, which is why understanding and paying attention to these natural gifts is important.

Claircognizance is what most people refer to as “gut feeling” and sometimes, instinct. It’s when you know something without knowing how you know it. For example, knowing when a song is going to come on the radio or a person is going to call. Or maybe you answer someone’s question without them even having to ask it.

Other signs that you experience claircognizance, or clear knowing, are:

  • You’re a thinker, you have downloads of information that just seem to come to you out of the blue especially about a problem, puzzle or next steps to a solution
  • Suddenly remembering something time sensitive that you completely forgot about, coupled with the feeling that you were just reminded by someone
  • You know what people are going to say or what they need before it is verbalized
  • You have powerful hunches that are specific i.e. you intuitively know someone is lying or being dishonest
  • You are the go-to for answers in your group as you always seem to have the right answer

So what’s the difference between a regular thought and claircognizance? Claircognizance feels smooth, a subtle knowing that just comes to you. None of the judgement, uncertainty, ego, or disconnection thought often brings along.

We have all experienced claircognizance in our work life, but salespeople, coaches, consultants, counselors, teachers, human resource professionals, assistants and managers use this form of intuition every single day. It’s just another skillset they’ve developed over the years. Most often, these professionals will be working with someone and they will have an urge to ask just the right question or offer the exact insight that was needed. They seem to “just know” what their client is looking for or what conversation is needed to move the needle in some way for their audience. Another category of professionals known for their clear knowing abilities are first responders and medical professionals. They pair this tool with their intense training regimens to serve humanity. Many just know how to handle a chaotic situation, where to go in a fire, or where to look in the body for an upset without any previous experience with the situation or information about the scenario. Sometimes knowing, instinctively, that what is needed in a particular situation is the opposite of how they were trained to handle it.

Clear knowing is another extremely valuable intuitive tool. It helps us in our everyday work and personal lives; from helping us work through problems, offer the right information to the right person at the right time, or execute on a hunch that saves time, money, or lives.
